Privacy Policy
What information does UDFYN hold about me?
If you’ve ordered, we hold what the order required: your name, email address, phone number and delivery address, your business name where you’ve given one, the specification of the order itself, and the artwork files you sent us. We also retain the correspondence around a job — the approvals, the amendments, the notes — since that is the record of what was agreed.
If you’ve only browsed, we hold considerably less, and none of it identifies you by name.
What about my IP address?
Every web request carries one. We shorten it before storage — the final block is removed on IPv4, the final sections on IPv6 — which leaves enough to indicate a general location and not enough to point at a household or a person.
What are the cookies for?
- Essential ones hold your session and your cart together. The site cannot function without them.
- Measurement ones let us recognise a returning visit and connect the pages of a single visit.
- Advertising ones, set by Google, let us establish which advertising leads to orders.
Who else sees it?
We do not sell information about our customers to anybody. It is shared only with the organisations required to complete an order:
- Our payment provider, to process payment. Full card numbers are never held by us.
- The courier carrying your delivery, who needs a name, an address and a phone number.
- Google, for measurement and advertising, including a cryptographically hashed form of your email address so that an order can be attributed to the advertising that produced it. The original address cannot be derived from the hash.
- The providers who host the site and keep it secure.
Several of those organisations operate outside Australia, and information reaches their systems as part of the service. Continued use of this site indicates your agreement to that. We select providers we are satisfied handle information appropriately.
How long is it kept?
Order records are retained while you remain a customer and afterwards for the period required by tax and consumer law. We do not retain records indefinitely without reason.
What control do I have?
- Do Not Track. Where your browser sends this signal we honour it, and you are not tracked. No request to us is necessary.
- Cookie blocking through your browser settings. The site continues to work, though a cart may not persist between visits.
- Marketing messages can be stopped through the unsubscribe link carried on every one. Messages concerning an order you have placed will continue, as you need them.
Can I see what you hold, or have it removed?
Yes. Ask us and we will respond within 30 days. You may have inaccurate information corrected and you may request deletion. We may first need to satisfy ourselves of your identity. Where we are legally obliged to retain something — order records, principally — we will tell you that rather than decline without explanation.
How is it protected?
The site operates over an encrypted connection throughout. Internally, access is restricted to staff whose role requires it. In the event of a breach likely to result in serious harm, we will notify you and the relevant authority, as the law requires.
Do you collect information from children?
No. UDFYN sells to businesses, the site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Will this policy change?
It may. The date above will be updated, and any significant change will be signalled on the site rather than made quietly.
How do I raise something?
Email info@udfyn.com.au or use the contact page. If you are concerned about how your information has been handled, tell us and we will look into it.
